NASLEF Selects Ohio Capital Corporation for Housing
and Merritt Community Capital Corporation as New
Managing Agent


NASLEF

The National Association of State and Local Equity Funds (NASLEF)
has selected Ohio Capital Corporation for Housing (OCCH) and Merritt Community Capital Corporation as its new managing agent for 2010.
Julie Sontag of Merritt will serve as the NASLEF Executive Director
and Mary Kay Meagher of OCCH will serve as the Deputy Executive Director.  Jim Rieker of Midwest Housing Equity Group, Inc. is the NASLEF President.

NASLEF is a professional, nonprofit association that was formed in
1994 to promote the efficient management of state and local equity funds. NASLEF’s mission is to promote a greater understanding of the Low Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) and encourage the professional development of its member organizations.

To date, member funds have created or rehabilitated  more than
100,000 units of affordable housing and have raised  more than $6.5 billion in equity capital for rental housing developments throughout
the United States.

Across the United States, 16 State and Local Equity Funds are in
the business of delivering to 39 states equity capital for rental housing developments that qualify under the LIHTC program. Those
organizations are:

• Delaware Community Investment Corporation--Wilmington, Delaware
• FAHE Capital Corporation-- Berea, Kentucky
• Great Lakes Capital Fund—Lansing, Michigan
• Hawaii Housing Finance, LLC—Honolulu, Hawaii
• Homestead Capital—Portland, Oregon
• Housing Vermont—Burlington, Vermont
• Kansas City Equity Fund, LLC—Kansas City, Missouri
• Massachusetts Housing Investment Corporation—
  Boston, Massachusetts
• Merritt Community Capital Corporation—Oakland, California
• Midwest Housing Equity Group, Inc.—Omaha, Nebraska
• Mountain Plains Equity Group, Inc.—Billings, Montana
• Northern New England Housing Investment Fund—Portland, Maine
• Ohio Capital Corporation for Housing—Columbus, Ohio
• St. Louis Equity Fund, Inc.—St. Louis, Missouri
