Ohio’s Affordable Housing Energy Conservation Initiative

On Friday January 15th, OCCH emailed to partners a very brief survey to identify the specific number of projects interested in participating in Ohio’s Affordable Housing Energy Conservation Initiative. MAHMA distributed this same survey to its members on Tuesday, January 19th, with the results due back to OCCH by Friday, January 29th. With the available funding resources, roughly 200 projects will be selected to participate in this initiative.

This conservation initiative involves a self-survey, resident training
and deployment of product to lower water and electricity consumption. Some projects will also be selected to receive a no-cost thermal
imaging assessment.

Harry Post

Harry Post, Conservation Manager

Harry Post is the newly appointed Conservation Manager for this initiative and will be spearheading this effort. He will be following through with a communication to all survey respondents in early February. Harry served as the Director of Construction for Community Properties of Ohio Management Services where he provided oversight of the $100 million, five-year rehabilitation of 1,200 units in Columbus and beyond. Harry can be contacted at hpost@occh.org.

We thank the Ohio Housing Finance Agency (OHFA) for making this initiative possible through a grant from their Housing Investment Fund.
