OCCH Resident Development Fund

Since 1997, the OCCH Resident Development Fund has supported partner initiatives designed to help residents reach their social, economic, and educational potential. Through OCCH retained earnings, small grants of $5,000 and large grants up to $30,000 are awarded on a competitive basis to OCCH nonprofit partners for programs and services. These initiatives impact lives and produce results. Previous Resident Development awards have been given for programs that assist with educational attainment and employment, instruct in life skills that result in improved family or economic stability, promote computer literacy, support service coordination, deliver after school tutoring, and send kids to summer camp.

Carol Mount Peterson, OCCH Board Chair, recognized the following partners receiving an award from the Resident Development Fund.

Akron Metropolitan Housing Authority and Wilbeth-Arlington Homes (Akron, Ohio)  who received funding for providing a Family Stability Program focusing on educational and employment support.

Buckeye Community Hope Foundation and Beverly Senior Apartments (Waverly, Ohio) who received funding for providing a memorial garden, vegetable garden and outdoor furniture to the residential community.

The remaining awards all received funding for providing summer camp programs to children. They are:

Buckeye Community Hope Foundation and Pleasant Meadows Village (Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio)

Community Housing Network and Southpoint Place Apartments (Columbus, Ohio)

Community Properties Impact Corporation and Community Properties of Ohio, Columbus portfolio

Community Properties Impact Corporation and Clubview Apartments (Zanesville, Ohio)
