OCCH Holds Initial Fund Closing of OEF XIX

Ohio Equity Fund

2009 is slated to become a historic year for the Low-Income Housing Tax Credit program. With the vast changes in equity pricing, the new resources of TCAP (Tax Credit Assistance Program) and TCE (Tax Credit Exchange) and the decline of investor equity, developers, syndicators, investors and housing finance agencies are finding new ways to conduct business. OCCH is pleased to be on the forefront of developing creative strategies to help solve Ohio’s affordable housing crisis.

Ohio Equity Fund for Housing XIX (“OEF XIX”) is one of the first multi-investor equity funds to close nationwide in 2009. OEF XIX is scheduled to be a $100M equity fund. To date, over $40M of investor equity has been closed into the fund. Without the early support of Key Community Development Corporation, Park National Bank, Fifth Third Community Development Corporation, The Huntington Community Development Corporation and FirstMerit Bank this fund would not have been possible.  OCCH is pleased to continue to partner with these long- standing investors and supporters of the Ohio Equity Funds.

OCCH continues to market OEF XIX to members of the financial services industry as well as other corporations serving Ohio which are committed to community development and affordable housing. Through OEF XIX, OCCH anticipates preserving and creating over 1,000 units of housing across Ohio’s rural and urban communities. Additional investors will be closed into OEF XIX throughout the third and fourth quarter of 2009. If you are interested in learning more about investing in OEF XIX, please contact Hal Keller or Jon Welty at 614-224-8446.
